Estimate from photos

An estimate with photos costs 25 credits with a live key. Hometown looks at the photos, describes the job and prices it like a text estimate.

Send photos​

Send each photo as base64 in input.images. mime is optional: Hometown reads the type from the image itself.

Limits​

  • Up to 4 photos per estimate.
  • Up to 5 MB per photo, and 30 MB for the whole request.
  • JPEG, PNG or WebP. Other types answer 415 with the code unsupported_media_type.

Content review​

Every photo and every text goes through content review. A request that does not pass answers 422 with the code content_rejected, and Hometown charges nothing.

Read the answer​

The answer has the same fields as a text estimate. When the photos do not show enough of the job, the status is unclear and question says what is missing.
