Terms and policies

Opening an account means accepting the API Terms and the Data Processing Agreement in force. The dashboard keeps the version you accepted and the date.

DocumentWhat it covers
API TermsKeys, test and live use, credits and billing, acceptable use, liability and notice periods.
Data Processing AgreementHow Hometown processes personal data on your behalf, including the EU and UK transfer clauses.
SubprocessorsThe companies that process data for the API, and what each one does.
Privacy notice for MexicoThe notice the Mexican data protection law requires, in Spanish.

When the terms change

A new version takes effect on its date and the dashboard asks you to accept it. Live keys keep working for 30 days after that date. After the 30 days, live calls get a 403 with the code terms_not_accepted until the account owner accepts. Test keys keep working the whole time.

Hometown announces changes that remove or break part of the API at least 90 days ahead, in the changelog.
